At Michael Richman Interiors, we create interiors known for their warmth, expressiveness and impeccable attention to detail. Bringing one of a kind solutions to each and every project, Michael listens to the client and creates a transformative vision that captures the values and aspirations of each client.

Michael oversees each and every project from preliminary design schemes to detailed floor plans, architectural design and selections to finished spaces. Taking a very personal and individual approach to each project, much of the inspiration comes from the client, making for a truly collaborative process.

When working with clients, he selects fabrics, furnishings, vintage finds and art that represent each person’s individuality—anything from ultra-modern to traditional. With attention to detail and a myriad of custom design capabilities his team produces creative and unique solutions that meet the needs of the most discerning clients. Playful combinations of scale and a juxtaposition of styles make Michael Richman Interiors unmistakable.  The finished product is a comfortable, enduring yet richly layered space that breaks from the mundane to become the extraordinary.

Since its inception in 1998, the firm has enjoyed great success and recognition with work featured in such publications as Elle Décor, House Beautiful, Luxe Interiors + Design and Modern Luxury Interiors. His work has also been published in books including Majestic Metropolitan City Living and House Beautiful: Colors for Your Home. Richman is currently working on a monograph of his work.

Michael Richman, Principal

Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska Michael graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.A. in architecture. He took graduate courses at the Sorbonne in Paris and the University of Barcelona. He practiced as an architect and interior designer working for noted architecture and contract design firms Holabird and Root and ISD Incorporated (respectively). He then served as design director for Arlene Semel and Associates before opening his namesake firm.

Drawing from his own experiences, travels and insight, Richman continually hones his skill as an architect and designer and is always aware of the latest products and advancements which he brings to his clients.
